Inspiring the Next Generation: SCIENTIST@SCHOOLS at SK Saujana Utama
On July 7th, 2025, Datuk Meor Tawfik was honored to be invited as a guest speaker for the SCIENTIST@SCHOOLS program held at SK Saujana Utama. His 15-minute session was part of a larger initiative under the Science, Technology and Innovation 1003 (STI 1003) program organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM) through its STEM In 30 Seconds initiative.
The STI 1003 program—representing 100 Scientists, 100 Schools, 100 Days—aims to foster stronger engagement between Malaysian scientists and the younger generation by encouraging active knowledge-sharing sessions across selected schools nationwide.
Meanwhile, the STEM In 30 Seconds initiative promotes critical thinking and communication skills by having students present concise reviews of scientific reading materials, such as books, articles, or journals in English. This not only strengthens their language proficiency but also nurtures essential skills in public speaking, helping to shape a future generation of articulate and globally competitive citizens.
Datuk Meor Tawfik’s involvement in this meaningful event reflects his continued support for science communication and educational development among Malaysian youth.
